• Wet the Sponge: Wet the AfriKan exfoliating sponge thoroughly with warm water. It's important to ensure that the sponge is completely saturated before use.
• Apply Soap or Exfoliating Product: Apply a small amount of your favorite soap, body wash or exfoliating scrub onto the damp sponge. You can also use our Brighten and glow soap or golden glow soap.
• Gentle Scrubbing: Using gentle, circular motions, start scrubbing your body with the wet sponge. Begin at your feet and work your way up, paying special attention to areas prone to dryness and roughness, such as elbows, knees, and heels. Avoid using the sponge on broken skin.
• Rinse and Repeat: Rinse off the soap or exfoliating product thoroughly with warm water, and then rinse the sponge to remove any residue. You can repeat the scrubbing process if desired, but be cautious not to over-exfoliate, especially if you have sensitive skin.
• Clean and Store: Rinse the African exfoliating sponge thoroughly after each use to remove any soap or dead skin cells. Allow it to air dry completely before storing it in a clean, dry place to prevent the growth of bacteria.
• Frequency: How often you use the African exfoliating sponge depends on your skin type and sensitivity. For most people, using it daily is fine but for some once or twice a week is sufficient to maintain smooth, healthy-looking skin. Adjust the frequency based on your skin's response.
