Brighten and Glow Soap

In the bath/shower, work into a lather and apply directly to wet skin and massage gently, waiting for at least 30 seconds before rinsing off and then rinse. Gradually increase to 2–3 minutes for your face and at best 5 minutes on your body. (For best results exfoliate skin and use in conjunction with the Brighten and Glow cream). A tingling feeling may occur on application due to the ingredients.

Always apply a broad-spectrum sunscreen with at least SPF 30 during the day, even if soap is used at night and moisturise your skin well.

Frequency: Once - twice daily

Turmeric Powder

Turmeric is a front runner for skin problem such as hyperpigmentation, acne, and eczema. It contains anti-inflammatory, anti-microbial, and antioxidant effects. The curcumin in turmeric reduces the excess melanin production therefore reducing appearance of hyperpigmentation.

 Kojic Acid Dipalmitate

Is a modified form form of kojic acid. Its benefits include but are not limited to reduction of hyperpigmentation, reduction of the appearance of scars, antifungal and antibacterial benefits. It works by fading discoloration through inhibiting pigment production that is excessive or abnormal. Kojic acid dipalmitate reduces hyperpigmentation by inhibiting tyrosine which is an enzyme in the biosynthesis of melanin/pigment.

Licorice Root Powder

licorice Root Powder works by minimising the production of the enzyme tyrosinase to reduce discolouration. It fights the free radicals by inhibiting their production therefore preventing excess melanin from being produced. Licorice root powder contains liquiritin, an active compound that helps to disperse and reduce existing melanin in the skin, it contains the compounds glycyrrhizin (a powerful antioxidant which can protect the skin from the ageing free radicals) AND licochalcone (protects your skin by strengthening its defence mechanisms), both of these compounds have been researched and found to be beneficial in treating hyperpigmentation and atopic dermatitis (eczema) by suppressing the effects of proinflammatory mediators.  

Lemon Oil 

This restores the skins natural balance, and it has beneficial effects on skin as it helps to purify and cleanse the epidermis. It is high in antioxidants which help to fight free radicals, together with its natural astringent anti-bacterial properties this makes it a very useful oil for a brighter more clear looking radiance to the complexion. Lemon oil contains vitamin C which helps lighten the skin tone and therefore aiding with hyperpigmentation.
