The Golden Glow Soap

In the bath/shower, work into a lather, apply directly to wet skin and massage gently using hands or the AfriKan exfoliating sponge and then rinse with water.

Pat skin dry and follow up with a moisturiser or body cream of your choice.

This soap can be paired with the Golden Glow Cream for optimal results.

Frequency: Once - twice daily

The AfriKan Exfoliating Sponge

1. Preparation: Begin by soaking your body in warm water for a few minutes. This helps to soften the skin and open up pores, making exfoliation more effective.
2. Wet the Sponge: Wet the AfriKan exfoliating sponge thoroughly with warm water. It's important to ensure that the sponge is completely saturated before use.
3. Apply Soap or Exfoliating Product: Apply a small amount of your favorite soap, body wash or exfoliating scrub onto the damp sponge. You can also use our Brighten and glow soap or golden glow soap.
4. Gentle Scrubbing: Using gentle, circular motions, start scrubbing your body with the wet sponge. Begin at your feet and work your way up, paying special attention to areas prone to dryness and roughness, such as elbows, knees, and heels. Avoid using the sponge on broken skin.
5. Rinse and Repeat: Rinse off the soap or exfoliating product thoroughly with warm water, and then rinse the sponge to remove any residue. You can repeat the scrubbing process if desired, but be cautious not to over-exfoliate, especially if you have sensitive skin.
6. Moisturise: After exfoliating, pat your skin dry with a soft towel and apply a moisturiser to lock in hydration. Exfoliation can leave the skin feeling slightly dry, so moisturising is essential to keep it soft and supple.
7. Clean and Store: Rinse the African exfoliating sponge thoroughly after each use to remove any soap or dead skin cells. Allow it to air dry completely before storing it in a clean, dry place to prevent the growth of bacteria.
8. Frequency: How often you use the African exfoliating sponge depends on your skin type and sensitivity. For most people, using it daily is fine but for some once or twice a week is sufficient to maintain smooth, healthy-looking skin. Adjust the frequency based on your skin's response.

Licorice Root Powder

1. Anti-inflammatory properties: Soothes irritated skin, reduces redness, and alleviates discomfort associated with eczema and psoriasis.
2. Skin brightening effects: Inhibits melanin production, reducing dark spots and hyperpigmentation often seen in acne and strawberry legs.
3. Antioxidant properties: Protects the skin from oxidative stress and premature aging.
4. Antibacterial and anti-fungal properties: Fights acne-causing bacteria and prevents infections on the skin.
5. Moisturising and soothing effects: Hydrates the skin and improves overall texture, providing relief for conditions like eczema and psoriasis.
